Request account deletion in the Playvo app
You can request deletion directly in the Playvo mobile app:
- Open Playvo and sign in to your account.
- Go to Profile.
- Open Account Settings.
- Under Danger Zone, select Delete Account.
- Review the information shown, resolve any active-account requirements, enter your current password, confirm that you understand the deletion process, and select Delete My Account.
Some accounts may need to resolve active responsibilities before deletion can proceed. For example, a club owner may need to transfer administration to another eligible member.
If you cannot access the app
If you cannot access your Playvo account, email support@playvo.co with the subject line Account Deletion Request.
Include the email address associated with your Playvo account. To protect your account, we may ask you to verify your identity before processing the request.
What happens after you request deletion
After your request is confirmed:
- Your account is immediately deactivated.
- You will no longer be able to sign in or use Playvo with that account.
- Your account is scheduled for permanent deletion after 30 days.
- During this 30-day period, your account remains unavailable.
Data that is deleted or removed
During the deletion process, Playvo removes or anonymizes personal and social-account information, including:
- Your profile information, bio, avatar, cover photo, city, sports, and skill-level details.
- Posts, comments, likes, follow relationships, and messages.
- Club memberships, club discussions, announcements, and uploaded club photos.
- Event invitations, RSVPs, comments, and non-financial event registrations.
- Venue and court listings associated with a venue-owner account.
- Notifications and applicable uploaded account media.
Data that may be retained
Certain limited information may be retained where necessary for security, fraud prevention, accounting, legal compliance, or system integrity.
This may include:
- Booking and payment history, which is anonymized rather than kept with your identity.
- Approved or payment-related event-registration records needed for financial recordkeeping.
- A limited account-deletion audit record containing an account reference, account role, deletion date, and deletion type.
This retained information is not used to restore your Playvo profile or make it publicly visible.
